Tongren People's Hospital was founded in 1909 and is one of the earliest Western medicine hospitals in Guizhou Province, with a istory of 116 years. The hospital is located at No. 120 Taoyuan Avenue, Chuansong Education Park, Bijiang District, Tongren Chou Province, covering an area of 366 mu and having a construction area of over 260,000 square meters.

It is currently a national Grade III Class A general hospital integrating emergency care, medical treatment, teaching, research, and management; a provincial regional medical center; a national standardized training base for resident physicians; a national base for the practical skills examination of licensed physicians; a national chest pain center; a national Baby-friendly hospital; an international emergency network hospital; a member unit of the Shanghai East Hospital Medical Consortium; a clinical doctoral practice base of the Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology; a clinical college of Jishou University and Hunan Medical College; a teleconsultation liaison hospital of the 301 Hospital in Beijing; a training base for general practitioners in Guizhou Province; and its medical services radiate to the surrounding areas of Guizhou, Hunan, Chongqing, and Hubei.

The hospital is equipped with over 150 large-scale precision medical instruments, including high-end global 3.0T and 1.5T RI scanners, dual-source high-end CT scanners, ultra-high-end linear accelerators, large-scale digital subtraction angiography systems, digital radiography systems (DR), fully automated biochemicalanalyzers, 3D laparoscopes and full HD laparoscopes, holmium lasers, color Doppler ultrasound machines, and C-arm X-ray machines.
